About this class: 
 
***This purchase gives you access to TWO RECORDED  classes focusing on writing and lettering with royal icing.  It was held via a ZOOM call***
 
Once you register for the class, you will receive a link to download the lettering class workbook. You will also be invited to a private Facebook group (Lettering Class with Karen) and where you will have access to 2 RECORDED CLASSES that were held via zoom.

This class is suitable for both beginner and intermediate cookiers. You will have the opportunity to ask questions in our private Facebook group.  The live class was focused on lettering and writing!!  
​
We will:
learn how to cut our bags and pipe lines
use two consistencies to execute different styles of lettering
discuss text styles and when to use them
practice handwriting, calligraphy, serif and sans serif lettering
​
You will be responsible for:​
Making, coloring and bagging the icing into two consistencies.... a medium consistency and a thick consistency. Information on how to achieve the correct consistency will be available in our private FB group!!  
Purchasing all ingredients and tools (bags, scribe tool or toothpicks, paper towels--I provide links for all in the workbook)

Bio of the instructor:
Karen is a self-taught cookier and the owner of Custom Cookies By Karen in Elkridge, Maryland.  She has taught kindergarten for 33 years and loves the ability to combine both her passions (teaching and cookie decorating) to offer these virtual classes.  Karen has made the jump to full-time cookier beginning in July 2022;  You can find her on Tiktok lives most evenings at 8:00 PM EST, on her Instagram and Youtube channel (coming soon!) under the same name (customcookiesbykaren).  Karen is excited to share her skills with you and spread a little sweetness one cookie at a time.
