***This is a RECOREDED cookie decorating class that was held via FACEBOOK Live****
Once you register for the class, you will recieve an email with the workbook that you can download. You will also be invited to a private Facebook group (Cookie Class with Karen August 2022 FOOTBALL) and will have access to a RECORDED class from September 21.
This class is suitable for both beginner and intermediate cookiers. You will have the opportunity to ask questions in our private Facebook group prior to class and there will be additional supports in the workbook with beginners in mind. The live class was focused on getting right into decorating!
You will learn how to decorate six cookies:

Techniques we'll cover in class:
Working with medium consistency icing for both outlining and flooding
Using tipless bags
Wet on wet techniques
Applying sprinkles
Flooding sections to add dimension
Adding royal icing transfers
Tips for avoiding craters
Before class you will be responsible for:
Mixing the dough and baking the cookies (in advance of the class to participate live)
Making, coloring and bagging the icing to a medium consistency (in advance of the class to participate live)
Purchasing all ingredients and tools such as cookie cutters, sprinkles, ingredients, etc--I provide links for all in the workbook

Bio of the instructor:
Karen is a self-taught cookier and the owner of Custom Cookies By Karen in Elkridge, Maryland. She has taught kindergarten for 33 years and loves the ability to combine both her passions (teaching and cookie decorating) to offer these virtual classes. Karen has made the jump to full-time cookier beginning in July 2022; You can find her on Tiktok lives most evenings at 8:00 PM EST, on her Instagram and Youtube channel (coming soon!) under the same name (customcookiesbykaren).
